Compassionate End-of-Life Care for Your Special Pets

A decision for euthanasia is never an easy one, but it is often the most compassionate choice for the elderly, terminally ill, or injured pet. At Peninsula Center Pet Hospital, we make every effort to help you through this most difficult time.
Palliative Care: When the End Is Near
When primary therapy is no longer appropriate, we devote ourselves to relieving pain and providing comfort to your pets through palliative care. Available treatments may include medical intervention, drugs, fluid support, and nutritional supplementation. Laser therapy and massage may be recommended for comfort. Most often, a combination of therapies is used to make the final days of your pet’s life as pain free as possible.
If you wish to keep your pet at home during this time, we offer hospice services and house calls, phone access, and compassionate pain management. When pain can no longer be managed and suffering is imminent, we offer in-home euthanasia for those who desire this service.
A Dignified Farewell
For after care, we use Cal Pet Crematory, dedicated to serving the needs of pet owners and their beloved pets. Cal Pet offers individual pet cremations and unique urns.
