Diagnostic Imaging for Pets Including X-ray & Ultrasound

A precise diagnosis of an illness or injury often involves diagnostic imaging and knowledgeable interpretation of results. Peninsula Center Pet Hospital provides this skill and technology for accuracy in diagnostic results.
Imaging Technology for Pets
Dogs and cats can sustain illnesses and injuries that are not visible externally. To address such situations, we offer both radiology and ultrasound imaging. Depending upon the situation, one or both of these technologies may be used to help determine a diagnosis or assess the extent of a condition.
- Radiology or X-ray images—Use radiation to penetrate deeply into the body, providing an image of bones and organs.
- Ultrasound images—Use sound waves to create an image in real time, allowing us to view and measure organ abnormalities, blood flow, and heartbeats. Our ultrasounds are performed in-house and interpreted by a board certified radiologist.
