Dr. Laura Schneider was born and raised in Palos Verdes and has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. She attended the University of San Diego as a full scholarship volleyball player, double majoring in Biology and Philosophy with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Schneider then attended Western University College of Veterinary Medicine serving as class president and graduating in 2012. After graduation she completed a yearlong rotating specialty internship at California Veterinary Specialists, and was then hired on as one of their emergency veterinarians. After three years in emergency medicine, Dr. Schneider moved to Atlanta, spent five years as a general practice veterinarian, and then returned home to the South Bay.

She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in ophthalmology, internal medicine, feline medicine, and urgent/emergency care. In her spare time, Dr. Schneider enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, and caring for her goats, pig, dog, cat, and bearded dragon at home.
